An artist for today’s theatre
Mainstream stories of marginalized people have long focused, almost exclusively, on their suffering and victimhood. In 2025 it’s vital that we push beyond these boundaries, humanize those that society is pushing to the brink, and celebrate and showcase our communities in all their beauty and complexity.
As a lifelong theatre artist, writer, and researcher - who grew up in a theatre that exclusively does plays rooted in history - I have a deep understanding of play development, storytelling, and the way these relate to the world around us. And as a longtime educator in the sphere of gender inclusivity, I also have a deep understanding of the way our storytelling impacts artists and audiences alike.
